Edvido Agency Index — methodology

Version 0.1-pilot · last updated

The Edvido Agency Index scores digital agencies on publicly verifiable signals: what an agency publishes about itself on its own website, its public reputation and how visible it is in search and AI assistants. It is not a measure of the quality of work and not a recommendation.

Independence

  • Positions are not for sale. Edvido membership, advertising or claiming a profile does not change an agency's score.
  • Agencies with a paid Edvido plan are not scored by the index.
  • Scores change only when the public data changes.

Which agencies are included

Agencies are identified from public sources and from free Edvido profiles. An agency is ranked only if its own website can be checked; otherwise it is listed as "not ranked" with the reason (for example, the website did not respond or no website is listed).

Scoring (100 points)

CategoryPointsWhat is checked
Information transparency20HTTPS, about page, named team or founders, service list, physical address, phone or email.
Price transparency15A pricing or packages page; at least one published price.
Portfolio & proof of work20A portfolio page; case studies; named clients or testimonials.
Public reputation20Google rating (adjusted so a perfect score from a handful of reviews does not outrank a high score from hundreds), review volume and recency.
Communication & accessibility10Contact page or form; English-language website (French or English on French-language markets); an instant channel such as WhatsApp or chat.
Digital & AI visibility15Organization structured data on the website; whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity name the agency for fixed local queries.

Verified, not found, unverified

Every criterion is marked ✓ verified yes, ✗ verified no / not found, ◐ partial or ? unverified. Unverified items score 0 points and are listed as "unverified" — they are not negative findings. Each verified item names the source page and the date we accessed it.

What we do not measure

  • The quality, results or price of the work an agency delivers.
  • Whether the information an agency publishes is accurate.
  • An agency's financial standing, licences or legal compliance.

Corrections

Agencies can claim their profile or send a correction from the index or to info@edvido.com. Verified corrections are applied and dated.
