Best 15+ SEO Agencies in Perth

Perth SEO decisions are shaped by distance before anything else

This is one of the most isolated large cities in the world, and that fact quietly governs the whole purchase. The pool of local specialists is modest. Agencies on the other side of the country will happily take the account but share only part of your working day. Offshore teams share even less. So the first real decision is not which firm has the better case studies; it is how much supervision you need and how much of it survives a time difference.

Be honest about your own capacity here. If you have somebody internal who can chase, review and unblock, a remote specialist is perfectly workable and often stronger technically. If you do not, a local supplier you can put in a room is worth paying for, because unsupervised SEO retainers drift and the drift is invisible for months.

Selling to the resources sector means surviving prequalification

A large share of the commercial value in this market sits in services sold to mining, energy and the contracting layer around them. That buyer does not behave like a consumer. They discover suppliers early, while scoping, then run a formal prequalification and vetting process in which your website is read properly, often by somebody hostile to marketing language.

The work that pays is therefore substantive: capability pages written in the vocabulary engineers and procurement actually use, honest detail about accreditations, safety systems and remote site logistics, evidence of comparable work, and a site that makes it easy to identify the right contact and the right entity. Search volumes for these phrases are small and the contracts are large, which means traffic reporting is close to useless as a measure. Ask a candidate how they would demonstrate progress when the target audience is a few dozen people, and treat a confident answer about impressions as a warning.

Half your search demand may be candidates, not customers

In a labour constrained market with a rotational workforce, the most valuable queries a company owns are frequently about jobs rather than services. People search for roles, rosters, site conditions and pay structures, and they search for the employer by name before applying. Most businesses leave that demand to job boards and then complain about recruitment costs.

Treating careers content as part of the SEO programme is unusual and cheap. Role pages that actually describe the work, clear information about rosters and locations, and employer content that answers what candidates ask can shift hiring materially. If you go down this route, decide who owns it internally, because content written by marketing and never reviewed by operations reads as false to exactly the audience it is aimed at.

The consumer half of the market

Trades, home services, health practices, hospitality and retail make up the rest of the SEO demand, spread along a metro that stretches a long way north and south. Seasonality is pronounced and category specific: cooling and outdoor work peak in one half of the year, storm driven repairs in the other. The practical implication is timing rather than tactics. Anything meant to catch a season has to be in place well before it, because new pages take months to earn their position.

Where the requirement runs wider than organic search, price a full service marketing partner in the same city against the specialists rather than assuming the bundle is cheaper.

Questions that reveal whether a firm has done this before

Ask each candidate to describe the first quarter as specific pieces of work with owners and dates, not as a list of ongoing activities. Ask which of your existing pages they would remove. Ask what they would refuse to do. Ask who performs each task, in which location, and what hours they overlap with yours. Ask for a client reference from an account that has ended.

If your category is technical, ask them to explain in their own words what your business sells and who signs the purchase order. The quality of that explanation predicts the quality of the SEO content better than any portfolio.

Fees, terms and the clauses worth negotiating

Monthly SEO retainers dominate and suit genuinely ongoing work, though they reward routine over difficulty. A fixed price project suits a defined structural job and has the advantage of ending. Advisory hours suit a business with internal marketing capability. For most companies here the sensible shape is a project first, then a lighter maintenance arrangement once the foundations hold.

Negotiate three things in writing regardless of model: a named account lead with a stated response window that accounts for the time difference, deliverables rather than hours as the basis of the commitment, and a break point if those deliverables slip. Avoid pricing tied to rankings in categories where a handful of searches a month decide everything.

Accounts, ownership and a clean separation

Create the analytics property, the search console property, the business profile and the content management logins in your own company's name and add the agency as a user. Where the previous website was built by a supplier who has since gone quiet, recovering those accounts is the first job rather than an afterthought, and it is more common here than anyone admits.

Put the exit in the first agreement: notice period, a written handover covering the redirect map, the term list and the reporting history, and an inventory of external tools holding your data. Content and technical specifications transfer to you on payment.

Reporting that means something at this end of the market

Ask for a short named list of commercial queries and track those, sampled from more than one point across the metro. Report enquiries and their quality rather than sessions, and separate branded from unbranded demand so that growth driven by other channels is not presented back to you as SEO progress. If careers content is in scope, report applications too.

Give it two quarters and agree in advance what failure would look like. When you are ready to compare firms, review the wider field of organic search specialists, look at how the category is served in a market that shares your working hours through the agencies listed in Singapore, and send one brief to a shortlist so every reply answers the same questions in the same order.
